A practical guide to slow living.

"The year was one hundred and two years from today. The day was much like any other day — spitefully hot with purple tinging the horizon. In the sweltering heat he was feeling hollow. Truth be told, he felt like lying down — a feeling he had never felt before. He felt angry at himself. Another feeling he had never felt before. Here he was, still able-bodied, thinking of giving up when so many needed his help. He breathed out, stretched yet a little taller (creaking somewhat because of his age) and composed his thoughts."
